Starfest is one of the largest annual science fiction/multi-media events in the world. Started in 1977, Starfest attracts several thousand fans of popular culture for a weekend of social interaction, games and fun. There are over a hundred activities on the multi-track programming schedule. Events include film studio presentations, onstage Q&A sessions with actors, producers & directors, autograph and photograph opportunities with the guest stars, costume and talent contests, film festivals, model and art shows, collectible merchandise, educational seminars, discussion panels, kids events, fan club presentations, and assorted Klingons, Jedi and other strange and unusual creatures.
This year, our guest stars include:
Zachary Quinto (Syler from Heroes and Spock from Star Trek), Adam Baldwin (John Casey from Chuck), Nichelle Nichols (Uhura from Star Trek), Masi Oka (Hiro from Heroes and Bruce from Get Smart), Nana Visitor (Kira from Star Trek Deep Space Nine), Nate Torrence (Studio 60, CSI, How I Met Your Mother and Get Smart) Anne Lockhart (Sheba from Battlestar Galactica), and Cliff Simon (Ba'al from Stargate).
Starfest also features the Dealers' Room Exhibitor Area. The selection of merchandise that is available is unmatched by any other sci-fi event. A veritable plethora of collectibles, cards, toys, games, photos, merchandise, and exotic items can be purchased there. Fans flock to the Dealers' room seeking bargains and baubles from bizarre to banal. This area is so popular that exhibit space is often sold-out up to six months in advance.
